Geelong Urology’s Specialist Urological Nursing Services encompass many years of experience in the care, management and support of patients with urological conditions.
Our nursing services are an integral part of the practice providing compassionate, sympathetic nursing to our patients. We provide patients with nursing services via consultations and treatment in the rooms, pre and post-surgical education and care and support to our patients when they are in hospital.
Kirstyn graduated from Deakin University Geelong in 1999, she also has a certificate in education and training and spent time teaching both student nurses and graduate nurses.
She has been employed at Geelong Urology since June 2017, the position is affiliated with SJOG Hospital where she had previously worked on the urology ward for 16 years.
Her role at Geelong Urology involves - performing procedures such as catheter insertions and changes, hormone injections, BCG treatments for bladder cancer, erectile dysfunction treatment, urinary flow rates and bladder scans and a large part of her role is education and support to patient and families undergoing treatments, pre and post operatively.
Kirstyn works in the room’s part time Monday-Thursday 9.30am – 1.00pm
